RAVI RATHINASAMY
Physiotherapist
- Ravi is a registered physiotherapist with Physiotherapy Alberta College + Association, graduated from University of South Australia specializing in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy (2001). Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor of Physiotherapy from Dr. MGR Medical University, India (1999).
- He is registered as a Fellow of Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy and a certified Gunn IntraMuscular Stimulation (IMS) practitioner. He has done his diagnostic imaging course with University of Alberta. Ravi has also pursued courses in Vestibular Rehabilitation to treat patients with BPPV, vestibular neuritis, labyrinthitis and a variety of vestibular hypofunctions.
- Ravi has a widespread background in the treatment and rehabilitation of numerous musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain issues, temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ), as well as injuries that are caused from work, sport and a variety of other activities and/or pathologies. He thoroughly enjoys working with clients to create an individualized and evidence-based treatment approach, combining manual therapy, needling and exercise prescription to reach and maximize quality of life.
- In his career, he has been actively involved in academic and clinical practice. He has conducted various manual therapy workshops for undergraduate & post graduate students in India. He has a wide exposure working in multidisciplinary hospitals, which includes orthopedics, sports, cardio-respiratory & neurological disorders.
